Thanks to your site I am able to accurately assemble the 1/25 scale 1962 Dodge CNT900 resin model kit I purchased. The kit came with no instructions and had to research the correct location of the oiler and air cleaner. There is no engine with this kit as it will be a curb side build up. I am using a AMT Diamond Reo chassis and running gear for this build. Your web site is awesome and I have been a Mopar fanatic for years. I was events coordinator for the Southwest Mopar Club in El Paso, Texas. When I lived there and raced a '69 Dodge Dart for several years before I sold it. Now I am retired from the military and have enjoyed puttin' around in my Ramcharger and building car and truck models for fun.

Thanks again.

Hello Kyle, My name is Phil Thompson. I am from Teeswater Ontairo Canada. I have a small collection of old Dodges and Fargo’s started. My first old truck is a 1960 Fargo 700 all restored with a flat deck and gooseneck hitch. I use my 1960 to pull my 1963 Fargo 700 to truck pulls and shows, it has a 5.9 Cummins with 545 Allison transmission in it. The engine has the pump done, injectors done, twin turbo's and water/meth injection. Four inch dual pipes that come out just in front of rear axle (still original). Puts out 650-700hp and turns the sky black when she’s hooked to the sled. It makes a lot of the old guys smile when they see her way out pull all these new 4x4 trucks and it is only 2wd. It always out pulls my 2005 3500 modified 585hp 4x4 dually and only pulled 35' short of the "Bud Bandit" at our local pulls in 2006. I also have a 1968 800 fire truck like yours in 99% condition, our plans are keep it original and pumping but remove the water tank. We are going to replace it with a walk in cooler that we will fab our selves. When you rear side compartment it will have 2 draft beer taps there, the middle compartment will have a flat screen TV and the stereo and remote speakers. It will still pump water and give rides to kid’s teams, but now will offer libation relief pumping as well. We are also almost done giving a 1965 Fargo 300 flat nose curb side delivery truck a once over. In 1975 it was turned into RV, I bought it from the 3rd owner and out of the original shop that it was converted from. We are giving it a heart transplant with a 5.9 Cummins and a 545 trans. If possible we could bring it to one of your shows. Have also started rebuilding my dad’s 1977 power wagon short box step side that i tracked down and bought back. I talked to your dad on the phone a while back about the Big Horns and look forward to seeing them some day. Regards Phil Thompson

I checked out this site because I wanted to know more about one of our tankers. At North Pulaski Fire Department, we have a 1975 HD Dodge LCF that used to be a Air Force jet-fuel tanker.
Ours has been cut down from 5000 gallons to 2000 gallons due to the weight limits, and has a Cummins V-8.
Your site is great...no one at the station knew anything about these old Dodges. Keep up the good work. I am still looking for my dream truck...a 1960s Dodge W300 crew cab 4x4.

Just stopped by to tell you guys you have a great site. I purchased a 1965 C500 flatbed last December.  I got it running and that’s where it stopped since I got busy with school and took an EMT class.  Your site gave valuable info on the C series when I bought my truck.  A little more about the truck, it has the polyblock 318 with the New Process 5 speed (i can't remember off hand if its the 540 or 541), a pto stub off the transmission and a 14' all steel diamond plate side flatbed.  It also has a 2700 lb capacity liftgate.

The truck was originally purchased by the CMPA (Connecticut milk producers association) and was always garaged in the yard shop in Litchfield, CT.  My father remembers it as a kid and I believe it was used a service type of truck since it has only 29,000 miles on it.  The truck remained on the property when CMPA closed and the land was bought to become a true value store.  True Value repainted it white over red, put new rims, tires, etc.  They also added the liftgate since they used it to deliver/repair wheel horse lawn tractors.  The truck was sold a few years ago to a man just down the road from me.  He tried to get it running and somewhere along the line lost interest.  He sold it to me and I am now the third owner of the truck.  I plan on restoring or possibly trading for another local flatbed truck.

Hi there, If you want to see an interesting c-800, check out www.4x4estrie.com  Look for a yellow truck called Daddy's Tonka.  It belongs to my father.  We fitted the body on a 1973 Power Wagon frame.  He pulls this truck in the modified 4x4 class.  It has a 500c.i. Hemi.  This thing gets so much attention everywhere it goes.  I think the name suits it.  We also own a high cab C-1000.  We are in Canada, and I have yet to see any info on this specific model.  Could it be a Canada only truck?  It is just like a C-900 only the badges are different. Restoring a 1976 Dodge D800 Carhauler. One of 8 that Chrysler Corporation built for their factory backed super stock drag racers in the 70's. My hauler was originally owed by California super stock racer Paul Rossi.  An interesting note about these 8 haulers: They are D800s but have D600 vins. The reason for this according to Rossi was hat Chrysler found out that D800s would require a CDL to drive. The factory backed racers would often have many truck drivers and it was impractical for all of them to get CDLs. Chrysler then changed the vins to D600, which did not require a CDL.

This site really takes me back. Twenty years ago I was driving everyday a 1973/74? Dodge CNT900 with the NH230 Cummins and Fuller 10-sp. No P/S, no front brakes. That was the hardest truck I've ever driven in my life. But with the hood the way it was designed it was easier to work on although the engine was crammed in slanted to right side. Before I got the truck, someone had rolled the truck twisting the frame behind cab, they cut it off and bolted a different frame to it. Couldn't keep tires on that truck for nothing. Steered right ok but could not turn left. Boy were them the days. I have had a dream for a long time of owning a 1975 CNT950 Bighorn but I don't ever see that happening. I never got to drive one and never been closer than 250 feet to a bighorn. I hope someday to get that chance. A friend of mine here in Indiana had for years an L-series Cab-Over. I didn't like that truck but he drove it up until the middle 90's. Of course over-the-road trucks are different than the trucks used on farms, in that they don't accumulate high miles and stay in barns most of the time. I'm thankful to have come upon this website because it brought back many memories for me some good some not. I hope to own a CNT950 sometime in my life but until then I can dream. You have an abundance of info on the Heavy Duty Dodge that were produced, it’s too bad that I live in Northern part of the U.S. (Iowa), I would like to see your fleet up close.

Hey Kyle,  great site. If more people get to know Dodge Trucks like you, The more they will appreciate them. I've had 2 in my life, a 1979 Warlock II and a 2004 Hemi 1500. I'm looking for a 79 Warlock II to restore, maybe..............

LCF C-Series Diesel. . . . They say "DODGE DIESEL and show a gear and a lightning bolt.  I need 2 sets.  Please help! Kindest Regards

I will be in the market for a C series next year - single axle to put a deck on for hauling 1968 short wide show trucks - diesel would be interesting but gas would do.
Your site will be even better when you have time to put more information on Dodge heavy trucks - I spent hours trying to get information on a Detroit Diesel with a 9 speed behind it - this one didn't have the raised cab!

Just wanted to say nice website. I just purchased a 1969 Dodge D100 from my boss she was the original, now I’m the second owner it has 68,000 original miles on it and its very clean no dents and runs great…you won’t believe how much I paid for it…$300.00 that’s it. The truck has no rust at all and it completely original no after market or custom parts on it…well any way…(I think you should have more pictures on your site…)

Excellent site!  I have been a Chrysler fan for a long time now.  I have a 52 1 ton factory stake body, 78 D100 (never driven in the winter), and a 36 Plymouth with 45K original miles.   I've seen your vehicles at Macungie, and I think at the Syracuse national show.  Most impressive.   I also enjoyed your article in the latest issue of Double Clutch.  Looking forward to the updated pictures.   Our ATCA chapter is having its 2nd annual show in May 2005 in Rhinebeck, NY.  Any chance we can talk you into coming?  Mike Fowler

I really like the heavy trucks from Dodge.  My father and I own a 1975 CNT 1000.  This truck has a 318 Detroit.  It is all original but has an uncertain future.  The bighorns are my favorite though.  If anyone should check our website, www.4x4estrie.com, you will see our creation.  (I should tell you that we belong to a 4x4 pulling club)  What we did was take a CNT 800 and narrow the fenders to fit on a 1972 Power Wagon frame.  We then built a step side box that measures 9' 4" long because of the short hood on the CNT models.  The frame is from a regular cab, 8" box truck.  It's powered by a Ray Barton 500 c.i. Hemi, and competes in the modified class.  It's called Daddy's Tonka.  Please take a look.  Great site.  Really like the paint jobs on the 2 CNT's.

Phil
